Become a SCHS Member today!

For more than 30 years, Scott County Humane Society, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, has operated successfully with a dedicated and growing volunteer base, Board of Director, and a supportive community and local government. With that being said, our membership program is available to anyone interested in supporting our organization's mission, "to ensure humane care and conditions for companion animals through spay/neuter programs, humane awareness education, and responsible pet adoption and ownership."

Your membership fee will help support us in continuing our life-saving programs saving homeless cats and dogs in our community, enhance the services we offer pet owners within the community, and help us provide funding for the animals in our care. Your membership directly benefits the programs of SCHS.

As a member, you will help:

  • Grow our education programs for pet training/pet health care, allowing us to provide pet education awareness to schools, youth groups and the community
  • Promote the importance of spay/neuter programs and help us continue to provide low-cost assistance, as well as emergency veterinary assistance to those in need
  • Enhance our adoption venues and services, and as a result helping us save more lives through adoption placement
  • Benefit homeless animals in Scott County/Georgetown and those in our foster programs
  • Develop and enhance our volunteer program so that we can continue to serve animals in our community 365 days a year.
  • Vote for the Board of Directors for Scott County Humane Society
  • Develop your own knowledge of SCHS programs and our services within the community, as well as pet ownership skills through training and education opportunities we provide exclusively to our members and volunteers.

Supporting Member:  $50/year

Voting privileges at special meetings and at our annual election of Board of Directors

Protector Member:  $150/year

Voting privileges at special meetings and at our annual election of Board of Directors

One ticket to a SCHS event

Sponsors a foster dog for full veterinary procedures to prepare him/her for adoption

Guardian Member:  $240/year or $20/month

Saves a litter of kittens/puppies and provides each with veterinary care and food

Benefactor Member:  $500/year or $42.00/month

Donate Unwanted Items and Save Lives

 

Your unwanted items from around the house and/or garage could help us save lives. 

 

Your donated items will help us fill our Peddlers Mall booth in Georgetown, Kentucky at the Outlet Center (Cherry Blossom and Outlet Center Drive). Not to forget, we're able to make auction baskets for SCHS events our of your donated items, which then helps us fundraise money to support SCHS. 

 

We take a variety of things-new or gently used household items, artwork, collectibles, ladies accessories, tools, etc.   

 

Please bring your donations to the SCHS located in the Indian Acres Shopping Center in Georgetown, KY during business hours, Monday-Friday 12PM-5:30PM. To arrange pick-up of large items, please call us at 502-863-3279 or email us at schscenter@yahoo.com.

Donate Through Your Workplace

 

If your company offers workplace giving, contact your Human Resources representative for enrollment materials. You should confirm with your company that the donations, as well as your name and address, are being submitted as requested.

By selecting Scott County Humane Society as a beneficiary in your will, trust or in another type of planned gift, you ensure that the mission and lifesaving programs of SCHS will continue to be helped. When you inform SCHS that you have included us in your charitable planned giving, you become a "Paws for Life" legacy member, and included in your membership are special benefits.
