Volunteer with Scott County Humane Society
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Scott County Humane Society (SCHS). We truly appreciate your desire to support our animals and our mission.
At this time, our volunteer program is available on a limited basis and is dependent on current organizational needs. Volunteer opportunities vary based on age, availability, and required training.
Youth Volunteers (Age 16 and Under)
If you are 16 or younger and are seeking service hours, please refer to our Enrichment Packet. This packet outlines a variety of meaningful service activities that can be completed outside the shelter to support SCHS.

For Cats
These enrichment activities help create a comfortable, stimulating environment for our animals, keeping them happy and healthy while they wait for their forever homes.
Simple Ways to Help
There are many easy ways to make a difference, even if you are unable to volunteer onsite:
-
Host a donation drive at your school, church, or community group to collect needed items, or purchase items independently. View our wish list for current needs.
-
Raise funds for the animals by organizing a lemonade stand, bake sale, garage sale, or similar fundraiser.
-
Bake homemade treats for our animals and drop them off at our Adoption Center.
After completing any of these activities, please contact our Office Manager at center@scottcohumane.org if you need documentation of volunteer hours.
