SCHS  Rehoming Assistance  Program

If you are a Scott County resident and willing to foster your cat until it is adopted, Scott County Humane Society may be able to assist you in finding a new home for your pet.  The purpose of this program is to keep cats from being surrendered to the Scott County Animal Shelter.  Animals in shelters are kept in small cages next to other animals. This is very stressful for them and often results in behavioral issues and exposure to sickness, such as upper respiratory infections in cats, and unfortunately sick animals, behavioral issues and overcrowding are the leading causes of euthanasia at the shelter.

At this time we are unable to help with rehoming dogs.
If you need to rehome your dog please contact Scott County Animal Care & Control at 502-863-7897
or
Rehome them through Adopt-A- Pet by clicking here
