Izzy is a very happy girl who is active and bee-bops about the home having fun and loving life every moment. She is about 1 year old (as of 10/1/2011) and tested positive for FIV, but you would never guess it given how healthy and active she is! Isabella is nonaggressive and quite opposite - she is a lovebug and super outgoing and VERY playful! She loves to have fun and race about the home exploring and playing as she goes. She is very good with other cats and does great with dogs. Izzy was rescued into our foster program a day before she was to be euthanized, and despite her FIV status we decided she was such a lovable and purrsonable, impish kitty we just had to get her a home. She was left by her home at the county shelter because they moved and could not have a pet anymore, and poor Izzy has waited months now to find love and a home that will cherish her and give her the love and home she wants so much. FIV is communicable through deep puncture wounds only, and contrary to what many thought for years - it is NOT a death sentence. In fact, FIV positive cats live long, great lives and do not require extra medical care. If you need more info on FIV, email schspurrs@aol.com or please speak with your vet.
Izzy will make you indeed dizzy with the purrs and entertaining she does daily, but dizzy in a good way. She has a cheery way about her and nothing fazes this pretty girl. Jet black with expressive eyes and a very soft longhaired coat, she likes to be held (but not for too long because she is active and likes to be on the floor where she can be busy!) and is gentle and very easy-going in the home and with kids and people. Izzy has two bad habits.... she will get into anything you leave on a table or countertop :-) and Izzy also insists on darting out the door each day to play outside for 30 minutes. She is not easy to get back inside, stubborn streak determines she will come in when her half hour is up! Email your application for Isabella, she is a darling kitty who cannot wait to share a life of love and fun with you!
