About Delilah

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Housetrained: Yes
Delilah is a beautiful short-medium haired Snowshoe girl who is about 2 years old (as of March 2012). She has been a victim of the economy with her and her family being homeless. Her family placed her in and out of the county shelter while they tried to take care of her - even when they did not have a home or shelter themselves. Being outside for a long time with her human family has made transitioning to being in foster care even harder on this sweet girl. She is still trying to understand she has an inside place to live in and love waiting for her around every corner. Delilah has been adjusting slow but positively to the new surroundings and is venturing from one area of the home into the main area where she sits with the family fostering her. Delilah is a very vocal kitty and loves to talk to you. She prefers to sit on a table beside you or on a chair while she chats, and is not yet showing that she is wanting to be a lap cat. She is a gorgeous Snowshoe with blue eyes, stunning markings and a very soft coat. She is adapting slowly but well to being around other pets in the home and has not yet progressed to playing with toys or others, but with TLC and loving - this shall come too. Delilah’s bad habit is scrounging for food and if she has access to the kitchen trash can she will scavenge. She is still trying to understand she will get food in a bowl, and she will not ever have to worry about going hungry. Delilah will triumph and overcome her past in an adoptive home who will be gentle, patient and be willing to work with her so she can blossom into the purrfect member in the home. Email your application today for Delilah and give her the love and security she is looking for with an adoptive home. IMPORTANT All adoptable pets are fostered in volunteers' homes. As we do not have the volunteer resources to answer phone or email inquiries without a completed application, to ensure your inquiry about this pet receives proper and prompt attention, please complete an adoption application and send to the e-mail address beneath the pet's photo (there is no obligation to adopt).
