Turritella is an American Curl which is an uncommon breed. The first American Curl appeared as a stray in Lakewood, California in June 1981. The black female, named Shulamith, gave birth to a litter of cats with the same backward curled ears, and so became the ancestor of all American Curls today. American Curl kittens are born with straight ears, which begin to curl within forty-eight hours into a unique shell shape. After four months, their ears will not curl more and should be hard and stiff to the touch at the base of the ear with flexible tips. Turritella has always been the mama's baby of the litter and had two Mom's to fuss over her, so she is a little less friendly than her litter mates. We think she will be fine once she has a humane to snuggle with instead of her Mom's. Estimated DOB: 3/11/25 Adoption fee: $ 300 (6% KY sales tax included) We would love to hear from you!
