Louie is a sweetheart. He is pretty laid back. He gets along well with other dogs. He also likes cats but is still learning not to chase them. Although he does enjoy a good romp through the yard, his true joy is finding a nice sunny spot to sit and relax. He walks well on a harness and knows several commands, including “sit,” “wait,” and “no.”  He likes to put his best foot forward (literally) and is working on establishing boundaries and not jumping up or grabbing onto his humans when he needs attention. His favorite activities are going for walks and chasing leaves.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
