Comet is a bouncing ball of energy that loves playing as much as he loves people. Comet hasn’t met a stranger human or animal. Comet’s goal in life it to be someone’s best friend. At three weeks of age Comet had to be removed from his mom after she attacked him and broke his jaw. Comet under went surgery to repair his jaw and will have a permanent slight defect to his lower jaw that causes his cute little tongue to hang out. Because of his injury he lost his bottom k-9’teeth and his incisors, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. Comet has been cared for by Dr. Tritsch at Central Kentucky Veterinary Center and he may likely require further mouth surgeries as he grows so we are asking that he be adopted local so it’s easy to get him to and from the vet. The Scott County Humane Society will cover any needed surgeries in the coming months as he grows. We feel it’s best for his development to go ahead and find his forever home. Comet has been working on learning to sit on command and almost has it down. Because of his broken jaw he’s been limited on being allowed to chew on things and play with other dogs, but Comet has had positive interactions with every dog he’s met. He’s excited to get to meet his new best friend. Fill out an application for him today, don’t delay!
