Sugar is a bit of a hot mess express and an example of why it’s incredibly important to socialize puppies when they are young.  Sugar didn’t get that initial socialization so is incredibly fearful.  This sweet babies response is to growl and snap in new situations, but is quickly learning to adapt and move on.  In her foster home Sugar is full of love and wants to be right with her foster mom at all times, including getting in the shower with her.  Sugar does well with both dogs and cats and would thrive in a home with another dog her size that is confident and can help her build confidence.  Sugar prefers women to men, but is learning to trust men.  She also does well with kids.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
