Junebug is a big ol' sweetheart who can't figure out if she's a lapdog or a curl-up-at-your feet kind of pup. She still acts like a goofy puppy and we're not sure if she's finished growing into those big paws yet, but there is no doubt that she will be an amazing family dog. She adores kids, other dogs, and is learning to leave the kitties alone. Although she is usually quite gentle, she is still working on basic training and needs gentle reminders to not be so bouncy. She was very shy when she came into foster care and will thrive in a home with calm, gentle leadership that can keep working on her training and be patient when introducing her to new things. Junie doesn't like going in her crate, but she's learning to accept it when needed but has been doing great with potty training and chewing only the puppy toys. She loves car rides but insists on resting her head on your lap as much as possible. Like all rowdy working breeds, she does need regular exercise and/or another doggie friend to help her burn off that extra energy. She's also hoping that her new family will let her on the couch but she'll happily accept a comfy dog bed too....as long as she's near people, she's a happy girl! When Junebug gets wound up, she acts like she is carrying on a conversation and will talk back and her sweet and sassy way. There is no end to the snuggles and laughter with this girl. SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
