First impressions are everything, but maybe just this once we can both look past those.  I have a lot in my past that I’ve yet to fully process and because of that I’m scared in new situations.  My foster mom rescued me from the very scary place of the shelter.  Because of this I dearly love her and I might growl and bark at you when you first meet me, but I promise if given time I’ll soon become your shadow like I am hers.  At 2 years old I’m still pretty active and love playing with the small puppy in my foster home, but also enjoy napping as you watch tv.  Large dogs are scary.  Cats are lots of fun to chase and pick at, but I wouldn’t hurt one.  Small kids tend to not respect my personal space so I don’t want them in my forever home.  If you have lots of love to give and patience to help me work through trusting you I’m your new best friend.  What are you waiting for?  Fill out the application now!!

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
