Do you like to be active outside on nice days and wish you had someone to cuddle at your feet when you relax inside? Then look no further! This beauty of a beast is "Gaston" and he thinks he's quite the handsome ladies' man and literally stops to check himself out in the mirror from time to time! He also can't get enough of hearing what a good boy he is. Gaston has spent too much of his early life in a crate but has proven to be incredibly. affectionate, social, and eager to learn. At only 1 year old, he still has enough bouncy puppy in him to keep you active and would love a family that can spoil him with toys, ear scratches, and continuing his basic training. But unlike a bouncy puppy, he already has good house manners and will let you sleep through the night and not chew up your belongings. (Perfect!) Gaston gets anxious when left alone and, therefore, sticks close to his person as much as he can. He would really love another canine companion to keep him company and let him be playful instead of cooped up too long. He shares his toys and bed well and is motivated in training by watching other dogs work for treats too! (Peanut butter and cat treats are his favorites!) Gaston is considered potty trained, but since he wasn't neutered until recently, he has had just a few small instances of marking inside where other pets have been. His foster family found a simple fix of having him wear a belly band while in the house as they worked with him. He has already shown great improvement after being neutered and with continued positive reinforcement has stopped marking in his foster home.  Gaston mostly ignores the family cats but really wishes they would play with him too. He loves kids and is learning to sit instead of jump up when he greets them, so would need a family with older kids or who are able to help positively reinforce good manners.

He is currently being  treated for ehrlichia
