Tuxedo / Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Small
Beatrice is one sleek little gal that has a habit of getting the zoomies every morning before settling down for snuggles and sunning herself the rest of the day. Bea is a petite tuxedo female with an oversized, fluffy tail and the kind of coat that's a pleasure to pet. She does well with the cats and kittens in her foster home, but it's unknown how she'll do around dogs. Beatrice is about fifteen months old, so given enough time, she could probably adapt to a home with dogs.
Beatrice is currently dealing with ringworm , which is the common name for the skin infection caused by a group of fungi; it is not caused by a worm at all. Ringworm is closely related to athlete’s foot in people, and it is contagious to us; the young, old, and the immunocompromised are more likely to get it so a cat with active ringworm should not be adopted by a household with young children, elderly persons, or those with suppressed immune systems.
Ringworm treatment typically takes about six weeks and involves giving the cat a once-daily oral medication in conjunction with lime sulfur dipping. Beatrice's treatment started on December 15 and she's down to just one small patch requiring treatment on her belly. We offer reduced adoption fees of $15 for adult cats and $25 for cats under one year if you adopt and take them home while they have active ringworm. If you would like more information on adopting a cat with ringworm, submit an application and we will contact you.
Won't you submit an application for this sweetheart before she has a chance to zoom out of your life for good?
