Smart, affectionate, playful, and energetic are just a few words to describe Reina. Reina is a very loyal dog and attaches to her person once she learns to trust them. We are not sure on her past, but for some reason Reina has some trust issues when meeting new people. It will take her a couple days to warm up to her new home. Reina has a fear of men. She will need time to adjust at her own pace, but she will eventually warm up to them. Reina has shown a dislike for kids and will occasionally snap at them if they come up to her so needs to go to a home without kids. Reina is quick to talk to her foster mom when she feels she isn’t getting the attention she deserves. Reina has recently discovered toys and enjoys playing with them. The cats have not been thrilled that she prefers their toys over dog toys. She gets along fine with the other small dogs in the foster home and doesn’t seem to notice the cats at all. Reina would make the perfect companion dog for someone looking for a dog that just wants to sit with them. Reina isn’t completely house trained at this time, but is good at using potty pads. Reina is currently eating Royal Canin urinary so food due to crystals being found in her urine.
Adoption fee: $200 (includes 6% State Sales Tax)
Our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes, not at a shelter facility. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out one of our dog adoption applications ( www.sc4paws.org/forms) and an adoption counselor will contact you with more details and to schedule a meet and greet. We do adopt out of state.
