Caesar is a very large breed cat, he weights in at 13 pounds but makes other cats look really small in comparison.  He is estimated to be 8 years old.  When he came to us often would have his mouth open and his bottom jaw looked swollen. He had a dental, a couple teeth removed and is doing much better.  I wonder however if he has some hearing loss as he can be startled easily at times. He is doing ok with the dogs in his foster home.  He also does well with the other cats as long as they don’t get in his face the he will whine at them and often paw at them.  Casear can be very sweet at times but also can get a little testy.  It’s as if he gets over stimulated with too much petting and attention.  During this time he has nipped or struck at people.  It hasn’t been hard to manage in his foster home, I generally divert him away from the situation which stops the behavior.  For this reason we recommend a home without small children.  They need to understand the signs of when to give him some space.  Don’t let that stop you from enjoying this sweet boy, this boy won’t last long.

Prior to being placed up for adoption, all cats (5 months and older), at minimum, receive a veterinary exam and are neutered/spayed, tested negative for FeLuk/FIV, microchipped, current on booster(s) and Rabies vaccination, de-wormed, and flea treated, and checked and treated for ear mites if needed.
